Like in the game Red Orchestra where you must auto rebolt your rifle after each shot, do you guys feel that Traction Wars needs this kind of realism?

Manual bolt FTW!
I think it adds a lot and gives you more options in close quarters.
Well you know I'm all for it.
There are several options how to achieve this tho.
1) Red Orchestra way
Bolting has it's own key
2) Resistance & Liberation's way
Autobolting happens if you release the firebutton, if you keep it pressed (1st mouse button default) it won't bolt so you have time to use melee (2nd mouse button)
Monk.
The 2nd option sounds very smart, I like that alot. So when your in a situation where it is not necessary (80% of the time) you don't have to worry about it.Originally Posted by monkwarrior
If we go with auto bolting, we need to make sure it works in a way that is not like CoD5...You can't do anything until that next round is in the chamber. Personally, I like manual because it lets me choose what's going on.

Personally I like manual bolting as givees you more control. However I think it needs to be very easy for new players to use - therefore in my view the best way to do manual bolting is a second-click of the fire button. That way new players won't have to hunt for another keystroke they'll just find it doesn't fire every other shot.

Thief a trick from halo: you can use melee mid-way through reloading, so the good player will still use his close-combat, and of course that will interrupt (force a restart of) the reload. This, in addition to what you've discussed. It means players will never get annoyed by the fact that their semi-automatic weapon (so they've clicked without realising it was a reload click) goes into an unavoidable reload sequence.

Makes sense, interrupt your reloading to stab someone, i like it.
