Another vehicle (sort of)... Basically, it would be small (half the heigh of a man, perhaps 2 meters width), and would provide mobile cover in the form of a stack of sandbags. A pile of sandbags, set on a platform, held in place by metal rods through the sandbags into a platform at the bottom, with wheels attached, and a small step to get onto so that enemies couldn't take out your feet. It would have alot of health (should be able to withstand a few hits from rockets), and wouldn't explode when it dies (why the hell would sandbags explode). Infact, it might be possible to build a world object that doesn't need to be entered like a vehicle, rather can just be pushed around - either would work though.
cant we just have sandbag walls that can be carried by troops and set down wherever rather than them bieng a vehicle, Desert Combat mod for BF 1942 replaced the mines in the support category with these.
You've got a point there, but I still like the idea of cover that you can move with you... Almost like a riot shield, but not as easy to use/more effective. Almost like the burnout care that you can move in Gears of War
Hmm... I like the idea, but not quite as an "instant wall" type thing. Have you thought of maybe doing the heavy machine guns as this? Shield for gunner, too heavy to fire on move, so has to be pushed. I actually really like this idea.
How about riot shields by the way? For the Tractionists. Just as a fun weapon. We would have to have it so they could only take x damage before being destoyed, but I dont think its *that* hard.
