And one went swimming![]()
Although i am a fan of the idea of a totally real complex mod, i think you have to take into account the playability of the game, after all this isn't really life, it is just a computer game.
Always bear in mind the end user.. most modern FPSs just have health packs and shock paddles.
The idea of manages is great for a health boost, and for a temporary boost, having morphine (L4D pills style is great).
but you could consider having a specific med on a squad or team( i don't know how you are doing it). and either a radius system, with a time elapse to regen health. or perhaps just a simple over time and when not in a firefight you can just regen health like mBF3 and MW3.
The only other way i can view doing it, whilst keeping playability in mind and realism in mind... is to either go with a set med tent somewhere in the map where any play(without having a specific medic) can go to and within the confines of the tent can be healed (that would only work in the map has 2 specific rear lines) or for front lines, either have mobile red cross trucks which can be "deployed" by a player(limiting it to one or 2 per team/size of map) which can be destroyed by the opposing team to hinder the advance or retreat of the enemy).
those are just my views anyway. Whatcha think?
Yeah, we've discussed medics a lot to be honest. The main thing we are avoiding is anything exploitable and simplistic which would allow each man to be his own army, if that makes sense. But at the same time aren't going go implement anything to complex.![]()
The healing idea sounds cool but like you could have a teammate drag you into cover then have animations of the character rapping bandages around or on the wound and it would take a little bit so your teamamtes would need to cover you so you dont get shot in the back while your doing it.
