If I remember right...
My first game was Donkey Kong..
My top three at the moment:
1. Halo 2
2. DOW (Soulstorm)
3. Enemy Territory Quake Wars
Furthermore; I wish to dismiss the preposterous notion that a machine heavier than air could fly under its own power.
Commander Keen - but the first fps I played was Quake 3
1. CoD4
2. HL2 + episodes. I don't care that the source engine isn't new and shiny anymore; hl2 is still one of the best single player games out there.
3. CnC3
Word, homedog.
My first game was IIRC Pacman, or possibly Table Aliens (Space Invaders where you have to answer times tables questions to destroy them)
Curious No one has Crysis on their list*
On a different, but still computer related note, anyone played Freelancer? Great game.
Furthermore; I wish to dismiss the preposterous notion that a machine heavier than air could fly under its own power.
Well I tend to like multiplayer games more the singleplayer. Crysis Wars would make my favourites list now though![]()
* First game I ever played.. thats hard to answer. I was like 3 or 4 when I first played my parents atari. I think it had to of been pong.
* Favorite games.. well number one on my list is Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, number 2 is Guitar Hero (all of them so far), and number 3 is probably Dance Dance Revolution (Corny I know but it rocks ! plus it keeps me fit).
Hmmm...First video game I ever played. ...I honestly can't remember. It's probably a tie between Altered Beast (first release for the Sega Genesis console...in the USA anyway) and King's Quest 1 on our old Tandy 1000. Good times.
And greatest three games ever? It's kind of hard to find three.
1. Metal Gear Solid 1-4 - especially 4, heh. Best story & gameplay ever. I've actually been able to use some of the "skills" I learned about from these games in Call of Duty 4, mostly because they have a working ghillie suit, hehe...
2. Crysis + [Warhead/Wars] - While I didn't really like the whole "aliens" part of the storyline, I liked it overall. Plus, the CryEngine2 is impressive. Once I get my working video card back in the mail this week (Radeon HD 4870X2. Had to RMA to get a replacement), I'll be running it on Very High/Enthusiast level. Can't wait.
3. Half Life 2 - Mostly for the Source engine. The single player game(s) where fun, but not entirely innovative. The Source engine gave a big boost to the mod community in terms of quality. Granted when Half Life 2 came out, I was already a Half Life 1 mod junkie. Also, it has the absolute best lip-sync/face animation system I have ever seen.
They'll never see me coming...
I think the first proper game I played was Sid Mieier's Civilization 2 on my windows 95 box.
Top 3 games at the moment... hmm...
1) Galactic Civilizations 2 Ultimate Edition
2) Darwinia
3) Garry's Mod 10
* * * What was the first game you ever played?
* * * What are the three greatest games you've ever played?
My first game I ever played was this Atari game called M.A.S.H. based on the T.V. show.
Greatest 3 games... that's a tough one!
1. Fallout 3. I've been playing it a lot and wow, it's incredibly amazing.
2. Metal Gear Solid 4. Huge technical achievements and a storyline that was rewarding and yet complex.
3. Tomb Raider 1, I know strange choice but this game was great it's spawned a whole collection of knock offs and helped made the adventure genre widespread.
