New WW2 miniseries from the creators of Band of brothers!!!

Steven Speilberg and Tom hanks are about to release another ww2 miniseries, I only found out about this yesterday due to the lack of advertising of it here in England. Apparently its showing on sky 1 in the UK and HBO in the US.

Looks awesome, maybe even better than band of brothers .

Yeah I've been following this for awhile. It appears a lot of you Euros didn't know about it? Do they even advertise war movies in Europe or is there a law against it hah?

Well, hopefully its good and they don't make some big historical flaws like band of brothers did. Looks like it will be good, though. The combat will be more brutal in comparison to Band of Brothers, I can assure you.

Everything from the United States is banned in the European Union, you didn't know that?

Anyways, for me this is really old news and it doesn't really get me excited as (a. I will miss every episode as with every series (b. the DVD box will be too expensive (c. it will get all young influential gamers into USMC and instead of all guys called Winters, Guarnere, etc. they will be the heroes from that story..

But when I watch it, I will love it, as I did with BoB.

Yes but in Europe you guys have explicit commercials which wouldn't dare be aired in the US, don't you? At least some countries? I know I've seen them.

I loved the Band of Brothers series. The historical flaws aren't THAT major and to be honest I didn't notice a lot of them until Mr. Mudra pointed them out lol. Either way its very realistic and shows wars brutality, as will this new mini-series.

No idea what you mean by that, do you got some examples? Are you talking about commercials mocking the USA? Can't really tell if I have ever seen a anti-USA commercial.

Nooo, well maybe they have those in Russia haha.

But I meant commercials with explicit content i.e sex or swearing. I remember seeing some German ones, I'll have to dig them up though I probably won't post them here haha.

Nah, Russians are not like that, though alot of people think so, they much rather generally mock 'the West' or nations that don't want to be friends with them.

Yes, those things are tolerated here. Ofcourse you can't show a **** but if you see a female face, while it obvious she is having an orgasm, under bed sheets with a male arm around her, completely tolerated as long as there is no real nudity. < not making that up, it's a real commercial so not that you think I always think about sex Swearing.. Cliché swearing is OK but real swearing not. Sometimes commercials are forced to edit their commercials or are simply banned.

I can't wait for The Pacific, its gonna rule.

And yeah, Sir Apple is indeed correct. European commercials can often be a lot more, ah, lewd, then american commercials, cuz the censors here are ****ing prudes.
