    Spam Prevention

In the last few days it has come to our attention the Google reCAPTCHA program that we use to determine humans from bots on registration may have been cracked as part of a wider forum spamming campaign.

Additional steps have been taken to protect TWMod.org from spammers but if you spot any suspicious posts please report them using the report button in each post footer and contact one of the moderation team so we can move swiftly to prevent others getting through the same way.

One of the steps taken has been to require users on registration to select their nationality from a dropdown so our registration is unique compared to others (and so can't be attacked in exactly the same way). Anyone who does not wish to reveal their nationality can of course select "none" which is the first option on the list. Exsisting users will find that they are now prompted to enter their nationality next time they update their profiles.

We hope everyone understand and to be able to go back to normal soon.
