Here's a €1300 PC I put together for you a moment ago. Very similar to the one I'm in now and it's a cracker!
1x CPU - Intel Core i7 950 - Since Intel is the most viable choice.
1x PSU - Corsair HX 750W - Corsair is quality producer of PSU's. Period.
2x RAM - Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1600Mhz CL8 (kit of 2x2GBs) - Corsair again for great stability and warranty. Total of 8GBs of RAM.
2x GPU - [Insert brand] Radeon HD 6870 - The brands are similar, just a sticker making the difference. 2 x 6870 in CrossFire, me liky!
1x MB - Asus P6X58D-E - Asus for superior features, and performance vs. price.
1x HDD - Samsung EcoGreen F2 1TB drive - Oh yes, 1000GBs, enough to not even use it all.
That's the basic components in the above PC. Add things like a chassis, some proper cooling for that CPU (I recommend Noctua NH-U9B SE2, but note; you'll need to order the back-brackets for it! Noctua NM-I3 Mounting Kit is the kit.), and some fancy lights (w00t) and it's ready to go - CrossFire ensures an almost 2x better frame then vs. a single GPU, making you pretty much do any game at max for a time ahead. Add a proper screen (native shouldn't be anything lower than 1920x1080!) and enjoy your Blu-Ray movies.
