hey
so i've got a problem with my computer - of some reason it doesn't want to crash during gameplay - might sound as a good thing, except it instead of crashing just shut down -_-
any ideas on how I can fix this?

To me it sounds like during the intensive activity caused by gaming something in your hardware is tripping out.
I'd find out your core temperatures as a starting point. "Core Temp" is a nice little free application which allows you to see (and more importantly log) your CPU temperature(s). Try running it and after a shut down go back and check the temperature log and post back the results.
I'd also check you have the correct size power pack as a power shortage would also cause this I think. There's a number of websites that provide a calculater to work it out but a rough guide can be got easily using this free trial.
Hope that helps![]()
cheers i'll try that when i get time - thanks for reply![]()

That's far too hot. You should be look at ~20-40oC as an ideal range for normal operation (I run at 42-52 BF2RM max graphics with case fans off).
That's quite possibly the problem although I can't be sure. Try running a game with the case cover off (DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING) to increase the circulation and reduce the temperature. If you can get your core temp down to that range and still shutdown then most likely its something else in the hardware in my opinion. Doesn't sound like a software or driver problem to me.

Holy Jesus, that thing is almost boiling. I used to have something related to too much heat, bought a new van and the problem was solved.
i'm sitting on a laptop so I don't know if i just can take the case cover off just like that - for a start i'm atleast gonna try put a book or something under neath so the fan has some room to work on - dunno if that'd be enough thou

Ah sorry bad plan if it's a laptop - sorry my bad.
Try proping one end up with a book as you said, that should help a lot.
For my laptop, I have this little stand that it sits on, with two small fans underneath. Plugs into a usb port on the computer. It works really damn well....
