    How's it going to work?

    I've been looking around the site but so far I've not seen any documentation on mod design.
    I take it from another post that the two opposing factions are the Tractionists and the Green Storm (as opposed to the original Anti-Tractionists). But what are the equivalents in the mod for the 2142 elements. For example which weapon is the crossbow going to replace? What about the other weapons? What is each player class in 2142 going to be replaced by from the Hungry City Chronicles? Equally importantly, what are they all going to look like?

    How are cities going to work? They are vast - several miles across - it won't be possible to access the whole city - there'd be waaaaay too much detail.

    How are Airships going to work?

    Will you include Stalkers?

    Given that the Hungry City chronicles are a return to primitive black powder weaponry (with the occaisional, rare old-tech exception) - wouldn't this be a better mod for BF 1942?

    Firstly I should mention that we are still in early stages of development so some of our plans may change as things develop and are tested for balancing, that being said its hard to say which weapon the crossbow will be replacing as the overall balancing of the game will be completely different.

    The different classes of bf2142 are going to be replaced with different classes for each team both the classes and weapons will all be asymmetrically balanced, so that each team will have both strengths and weaknesses in the armoury.

    The cities of the hungry city chronicles are indeed huge. So we will be at first only looking at small areas of them. The project reality team has recently managed to create a 17 square kilometre map, this means there is now the possibility that we might be able to fit a small moving suburb on one map, thats a long way off though and not first build stuff.

    Airships will be available in for most tasks from troop deployment to bombing as well as the dreaded tumbler carriers.

    Stalkers will be included although perhaps not at the first build.

    We chose bf2142 not because of the similarity in weapons but for the engine abilities as well as graphics. We can easily change the weapons to whatever is required. We are currently working at a World War I /* World War II sort of weapons level.

    What are the classes going to look like?
    -Well you'll just have to wait and see
