Hi, my name is [TWDEV] Sir Apple and I'm the Lead Artist here at Traction Wars. In the past we've shown you plenty of renders and screenshots but never really said anything about the process that we go through in creating our work. Today I'm going to give you a glimpse at some of the thinking that goes into one of my more routine tasks; the creation of one of the many statics in the game. Traction Wars is moving to PlayForFreeCRYENGINE3! The mod is to become a stand-alone game on the cutting-edge CRYENGINE3.
After carefully weighing up the pros and cons between continuing to use Crysis Wars and moving up to CRYENGINE3 we decided the benefits greatly outweighed the disadvantages. The more advanced engine provides better optimisation, smoother physics and better graphics which enable us to make richer and more absorbing environments and even more exciting gameplay
