Q: What is Traction Wars?
A: Traction Wars is a World War II total-conversion modification for Crysis Wars with the aim of transforming the tropical environment set in the near future (retail game) into the towns and countryside of Normandy during the depths of the Second World War. The mod concentrates on realism, historical accuracy & tactical teamplay. In Chapter One Traction Wars will be featuring the Normandy Campaign between the British and German Armies between June 6th and August 22nd 1944.

Q: How can I get involved?
A: Although the Traction Wars hasn't been released yet we value the contributions of our community. So if you have an idea you would like to see in the mod please let us know by posting on the forums. We're also looking for new developers to join us. Q: I thought Traction Wars was a Steampunk Mod for Crysis?
A: In October 2008 the team took the decision to stop production of the mod based on the work of Philip Reeve. This was due to the fact we couldn't get permission to use the Intellectual Property of Philip Reeve and we didn't want to continue any further with the threat of a Cease and Decist Order arriving any day. It was decided to start a new WWII mod of the same name. This is what you see here today. For the article in which we announced the move click here.

Q: Will there be a singleplayer/Co-op?
A: There is currently no singleplayer or co-op mode planned for Traction Wars. Moving AI is not currently possible in Crysis Wars so it would be a massive job to implement even a simple AI bot system.

Q: What is the official time?
A: The mod team and community spans the world so we use GMT (a.k.a. UCT) as the official mod time. The default timezone of the forum is also GMT but you can change it to your own timezone in your account settings.

A: You can submit a question to our priodical "Community Questions" in which we answer the most interesting, most popular or best questions that are sent to us. If a question is particularly relevant to a lot of people we will also add it here. You can also try asking on the community forums if you want a more immediate answer - we can't promise to answer every question in detail as that would spoil the surprise!
